Today on the show, we discussed the issues with keynote speaker Amanda Radke. We are surrounded by this word “issue” everywhere we look, and who better to tackle it with! Amanda is a 5th generation rancher who has dedicated her career to serving as a voice for the nation’s farmers and ranchers. She speaks as a blogger, columnist, investigative journalist, speaker, and entertainer.

She has spent the last 15 years on the road fighting for rural America and the western way of life. She’s gone head-to-head against animal rights activists, environmental extremists, politicians, and celebrities who seek to eliminate animal agriculture. She believes food security is national security, and her work is focused on keeping producers on the land.

Not to mention, she is also the author of eight agriculturally-accurate children’s books, and her goal is to help promote agricultural literacy in schools. Being a mom of four, she is determined to teach children about where their food comes from.

In this episode, Same Dragon Different Head with Amanda Radke, we cover:

  • The tough questions that nobody wants to ask to add to the bigger picture.

  • How perceptions of agriculture influence our industry.

  • Amanda’s passion to fight for farming and ranching families so that we don’t fight a losing battle.

  • How Amanda’s messages have recently changed to help producers become, “price makers instead of price takers.”
