The cattle industry remains traditional, but we see that changing more and more as each year goes by. There are segments in the market that didn’t exist 5 years ago and we expect that to be true in the next 5 years as well.

Something we have experienced firsthand is that while the cattle industry is full of community, the day-to-day can be quite lonely and isolating. Surrounding yourself with the expert content of these educators and cattlemen who are in similar positions in their business, helps you see the path for what can come next and how to get there while forming connections along the way.

Are trainings/presentations live?

The trainings and presentations that go along with each segment are not live. They are recorded by industry experts for the Cattleman U community so you can watch them anytime, anywhere, and have the freedom to fast forward, rewind, and pause as needed.

They are relevant and timely, recorded within months of being presented to you.

Can the trainings/videos be viewed at any time?

The trainings and presentations that go along with each segment can be viewed at ANY TIME! There will be recorded presentations from the industry experts so you don’t have to worry about keeping a schedule, and you can watch them at your convenience.

How often do the trainings occur?

New trainings and presentations are ready for you to watch at the beginning of each month! There is no need to wait!

How long do I have to access the content?

Each of the membership levels are yearly, you will have access to the level specific content for the duration of your membership. There is a breakdown of what content is provided for each level above!

Can I access previous Cattleman U trainings from the monthly segments before I joined?

Once you join you will have access to the content from there forward! We do cover some of the past topics again as we feel there is always more to learn.

You are able to purchase access to previous segments available in the KRose Company Online Store.

Can you fit this course into your life?

Cattleman U members can access content for the duration of their membership whenever you have time, as many times as you need. Our program is flexible enough to fit into your schedule, whatever that may be. We have created the levels so that you can decide what amount of content you want based on the time you have to dedicate to your education!

Will I fit in Cattleman U if I don't own cattle yet?

It doesn’t matter if you are a 4th-generation rancher or you’re just starting out, Cattleman U has something for EVERYONE! Cattleman U is a community for us all to learn and there is no such thing as a stupid question. The presentations you’ll find inside Cattleman U provide real world knowledge that will be applicable whether you’re planning your dream ranch or looking for adjustments you can make day-to-day on your operation.

Will I get the same out of Cattleman U as a producer in Montana?

The tools, resources, and information that you get from Cattleman U is up to you! Cattleman U is for everyone that wants to learn more about different marketing strategies and operating a successful farm or ranch! The featured speakers are from all over the U.S. and focus on sharing knowledge that can be applied to any producer – but are always able to answer specific questions as well.

• May - Business Management: This section will cover strategies to improve the business side of any cattle operation. One speaker we are excited to hear from is Dr. Nels! He is going to be discussing core values and the importance of having them for your business.

• June - Marketing: We have heard from many of our members that they want to learn more about marketing! We will be covering social media tips, marketing your calves and more. Karoline herself will be sharing her expertise on the topic! 

• July - Forage Management: We have covered forage in the past but feel it is the perfect time to bring it back! The goal for this section is to have a speaker that is local to your area so you can learn about the forages that impact you.

• August - Herd Health: Creating the right vaccine program is crucial to your cattles health. We want to have conversations with vets and other experts to give you the tools to do just that.

• September - Buying & Selling: It can be difficult to know when you need to buy and sell your cattle! Karoline is a big advocate for understanding the market so you can get the most for your cattle. We are excited to dive deeper into this topic with experts.

• October - Female Reproduction: This section and the one below are coming right when you need them! Understanding reproduction for both your cows and bulls is so important. We wanted to break them up so you can get more out of each section.

• November - Bull Reproduction: This section and the one above are coming right when you need them! Understanding reproduction for both your cows and bulls is so important. We wanted to break them up so you can get more out of each section.

• December - Value-Added & Agri-tourism: As producers we are always trying to find new ways to make income. We want to bring some new ideas and options to you. This section will give you more to think about and things you might want to add! 

The Cattleman U Podcast will be an audio experience for any cattleman who is interested! We will have conversations with real world agriculturalists and explore what they are doing on their operations. You can join the email list to get updates when new episodes release!
