Low- Stress Cattle Handling Camp

Let’s spend the weekend learning all things low stress cattle handling.
This is a hands on weekend where you’ll learn how to:
Run a bud box successfully with practice
Sort cattle both in an alley and on a gate
Cattle flight zone and how to get cattle to move how you want
Cattle flight zone when equipment is used which as 4 wheelers and side by sides
and more!
Work alongside Karoline, the Rose Cattle Company crew and get hands on learning.
Chute Work Camp
August 31 - September 2, 2024

Let’s learn the CHUTE! The perfect opportunity to gain time and experience at the chute.
This is will be a hands on weekend where you’ll learn how to:
Chute operation - loading, head catching, pinch points, setting for cows vs calves, back gate, getting cows up that go down in the chute
Cattle processing process - setting up supplies and chute in different situations
Doctoring in the chute, roles in processing and how to utilize different crew members and sizes
Keeping records and assisting with chute operation
Work alongside Karoline, the Rose Cattle Company crew and get hands on learning.

Join us in Kansas to dive into what it takes to start your operation from the ground up. We will start with providing you with the fundamental pieces to starting your operation, how to set realistic expectations, where to start looking for funding, buying and selling cattle, and so much more!

Arrive to the ranch on Friday and join us for an evening of learning. We will use this time to get to know our guests and provide you with the knowledge you need before we jump into the corral.
It is time for us to get learning. Saturday will be spent learning and working hands- on, on the ranch. We will have experts to answer all of your burning questions and guide you to success! We will end the day providing our guests with dinner.
We will spend half a day together mastering your skills before we send you home with your new wealth of knowledge.

Yes! Men and Women can attend Ranch Camp weekends. But you have to be 18 or older

There will be no application process for our weekend camps. However, there are limited spots available to purchase.

Yes! We are excited to give you the opportunity to practice the skills we talk about directly after going over them. Above we have included a comprehensive list of the things we are planning on going over but if there is something that you want to go over that you don’t see, don’t hesitate to ask!

Nope, we will help you gain the skills of an experienced hand before you leave. These camps are for any women who want to gain confidence to jump in when working cattle at home. It can be hard to find the time to perfect these skills in the normal hustle and bustle of life which is why we are taking time to go over these skills in a stress free environment.

Of course! We will help you prepare for the day when you do have cattle to work. We do feel like it will be easier to retain the skills if you do use them, but you can get a head start and gain the confidence before you begin working your own herd.

The policy is as follows:
No refund for Ranch Camp weekends. You can transfer your ticket.

If you opt to add on the lodging option, you will be staying at a hunting camp near the ranch. It’s where stay during Ranch Camp. Its a great set up, we will provide all meal Saturday and 2 meals Sunday
